OUR MINISTRIES

Celebration begins each week on Sunday morning with coffee, juice, and donuts around 8:30 before our Bible Fellowship Classes for all ages at 9:00 a.m.  Worship follows that at 10:00 a.m.

On Sunday nights @ 6:00 we are watching "The Chosen" videos together.  Our children and youth are involved in the chldren's ministry we call Straight Street (see below). Occasionally, thru the summer, we do a variety of things from gospel music nights to swim parties and cookouts, to bowling and movie or game nights.

On Wednesday nights at 7:00 we have kids classes and an adult study and prayer time.

We have a great VBS program every summer for children 4 yrs old through 6th grade and involve the youth as helpers.

Prayer

We believe in prayer!  Every Wednesday night we conclude the Adult Bible study with a time for prayer requests and prayer.  We keep a prayer list in our weekly Sunday bulletin to remind us of current and ongoing needs. We have a prayer chain for quickly notifying several people of our church for special needs as they arise.  And once a year, many of our folks participate in a Prayer Cup Fellowship - which is kind of like prayer partners only anonymous - with a coffee cup exchange to remind us to pray every day for someone specific.

Children

Celebration loves children!  We offer classes for all ages on Sunday mornings at 9:00.  There is a nursery during worship services.  We have kids classes on Wednesday nights at 7:00 year 'round.

in Sept. this year, we are relaunched our own unique ministry, "Straight Street" on Sunday nights from 6-7:30.  It's sort of Christian Sesame St./VBS program with puppets & street characters leading the kids thru Bible stories, songs, games, and more!

Bible Fellowship Classes

Every Sunday morning at 9:00 there is a class for any age where we
study the Bible - God's Word - together.   Adults have two options with a discussion class that works through the Bible or a class called Bible Storying, which is what we also have used on the mission field in the mountains of Peru.  It is a unique way of sharing the Bible and involving others in the discussion through special questions designed for the purpose, while training all to be able to effectively share God's Word in story-form.

Youth

Our youth study together on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and Wednesday evenings at 7:00.  We try to involve them in our annual VBS as helpers and some will be involved in our Straight Street ministry as puppeteers or in other roles!

They often attend our state convention's annual Youth Encounter event to meet and worship with hundreds of other youth from around the state to hear outstanding Christian speakers and music artists and some attend summer camps and mission projects throughout the year, such as nursing home ministry.

Music

Our Sunday morning worship music is basically contemporary Christian music led by our praise team, but we sometimes mix it up with some of the old.  A variety of styles come into play during our offeratory and a couple of times a year we enjoy a whole evening of singing and playing all the "oldies" - hymns and gospel songs of the 60s, 70s, and 80s!

Before the CoVid pandemic, and hopefully again soon, we met monthly at a local nursing home and led them in a great time of worship with the old hymns they love so much.

Ministries & Missions

We support our local mission, hold worship services monthly at a local nursing home, have helped with disaster relief efforts, and have begun some involvement with the Pana High School FCA.  We are closely tied with the local Loving Arms Pregnancy Center, where we helped remodel their new facility downtown.  Pastor Terry also serves on the volunteer hospital chaplaincy program.
